Chiltern Valley Winery & Brewery – Site Accessibility
The following information is provided in order to help you plan your visit and ensure you have a safe, relaxed and enjoyable time with us. If you have any questions or concerns please contact our office on 01491 638 330.
Chiltern Valley Winery & Brewery is based in a remote ‘Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty’, on an old farm estate with some of the buildings dating back to the 18th century. The site has been restored over the years with many of its original features retained.
The Tours & Tasting experience includes visits to the brewery, vineyard (weather permitting), grape press, and bottling hall. The distances between these areas is relatively short but does require standing for approximately 10 minutes at each area during the Tour Guide’s presentation. Collapsible chairs can be requested from your Tour Guide if required. The tasting session is seated in our Tasting Room.
Movement around the site does involve navigating across a large cobbled courtyard, over a short ramp and through narrow doorways. Access to the vineyard is across a lawned garden. We find that this can generally be achieved safely with most standard manual wheelchairs. Mobility scooters and large specially adapted or electrically propelled wheelchairs may not be suitable. We do have our own manual wheelchair that can be provided on request. In poor weather, or when the lawn is very wet, it may not be possible for wheelchair access to the vineyard.
