FAQ ~ Tour & Tastings
The tour & tasting is priced at £22.50 per person.
Yes our Food Truck is open daily from 10am - 4pm (excluding event days). They serve delicious cakes, coffees and hot food. As we have this facility on site we do not allow guests to bring picnic lunches and consume these on our premises.
We don't have a cafe or coffee shop onsite however we have professional barista coffee, teas and cakes available from our Food Truck.
The tour & tasting lasts approx 2 hours.
Each voucher will have it's own unique expiry date. You do need to attend one of our tour & tastings BEFORE the voucher expires, if you do choose to come after the expiry date of your voucher a £15 extension fee will be payable.
All vouchers sold entitle two people to do the tour & tasting.
We open up the tour & tasting dates as the year goes on and we work approximately 4 months in advance. We work on a rolling month basis and the last Friday of each month we open the following months tours and overnight stays.
Chiltern Valley Winery & Brewery is also home to Old Luxters Barn which is used for events, mainly weddings. This means that the majority of events are held on a Saturday or Sunday and so take over the estate, including the farmhouse B&B. This means we can often only run a morning tour on event days and the Farmhouse is un available.
We regret that no under 18's including babies are permitted on the tour. Due to the nature of the tour & tastings being created around alcoholic beverages it is not suitable for them. Also you will be guided around a working winery and brewery and so it is not a safe environment for children or fair on other guests in your group.
Whilst we are happy to welcome well behaved dogs onto the site [please ensure that all dogs are kept on a lead at all times] we are not able to allow dogs into our shop, or on any of our tour & tasting events, as these are governed by food hygiene legislation.
The tasting is generous and you try around 3-4 of each our Wines, Ales & Liqueurs, served with water as a palate cleanser. It is just a small sampling of each product and you have the ability to spit, however you do need to be careful and know your limits when it comes to driving home. This is totally an individual decision to be made by the driver.
The tours are not weather dependent and run all year round. The majority of the tour is undercover but you do move from building to building and in most case all year round we visit the Vineyard. In the event of severe weather conditions, i.e. snow we may be in touch if we feel it not safe to run the tour. We shall contact customers by email.
Please ensure you wear comfortable shoes and warm sensible clothing.
We do require a minimum of 6 people for a tour to go ahead. If the numbers are less than this we may contact you to see if we can move your booking to a different date. This is a very rare occurrence and only done if absolutely necessary.
Yes the tour is accessible to wheelchair users. We do have ramps which can be placed over steps if required. We do also have an accessible toilet on site. More information about our full site accessibility can be found on our SITE ACCESSIBILITY page.
We do have a wheelchair on site should you need to use one. We ask to request this in the special requirements fields upon booking.
