Tour & Tasting Terms & Conditions

1. Cancelling Tours

Chiltern Valley Winery & Brewery reserve the right to cancel tours due to safety reasons such as heavy snow or ice or if guest numbers are too low (4 or less). We will endeavour to give as much notice as possible in this event and most probably will email [rather than call] the customer directly to inform of this.

2. Re-Booking & Applicable Fees

Once a booking is made you can move your booking to any date within the validity of your voucher free of charge providing we have 3 or more days notice [by 10am]. If you move a booking with less than 3 days notice then a £7.50 Re-Booking Fee will be requested and need to be paid at the time of re-scheduling the booking. 

3. Discounted/Sale Pricing

If you book a Tour & Tasting during a sale date period which has been discounted and you choose to move your tour date into a non-discounted rate period you will need to pay the difference, this excludes all Tour & Tasting vouchers for two.

4. Extension Fees

If your moving to a new date beyond the validity of your voucher then an extension fee of £15 will be requested and need to be paid at the time of re-scheduling the booking. We allow an extension of up to 6 months.

5. No Show

In the event that you do not attend a tour [and with no contact being attempted to be made by the customer] then you will lose your voucher and no refunds will be given by either Chiltern Valley Winery & Brewery or the voucher supplier that issued the voucher itself. You may re-book your tasting session at a reduced cost of £20 per voucher for two.

6. Booking

ALL customers must have Pre Booked their tour - if you have NOT received your confirmation email from us, (do check your junk/spam folders) please contact us to confirm your booking. We reserve the right to refuse entry to guests who have not completed a valid booking.

7. Dogs

Whilst we are happy to welcome well behaved dogs onto the site [please ensure that all dogs are kept on a lead at all times] we are not able to allow dogs into our shop, or on any of our tour & tasting events, as these are governed by food hygiene legislation.

8. Children

Our Tours and Tasting experiences are 2 hours long and clearly focused at an adult audience. As such they are not really suitable for children, no matter how well behaved. To ensure your entire tour group have an enjoyable experience, we would ask that you do not bring babies or children under 18 years of age on Tours & Tastings.

9. Parking

Complimentary parking is available to all our guests and parking is done so at your own risk. Chiltern Valley Winery & Brewery cannot be held responsible for any damage or theft of vehicles.

Old Luxters Farmhouse B & B Terms & Conditions

All Bookings are non-refundable

1. Cancelling Rooms

Chiltern Valley Winery & Brewery reserve the right to cancel overnight stays due to safety reasons such as heavy snow or ice. We will endeavour to give as much notice as possible in this event and most probably will email [rather than call] the customer directly to inform of this. If CVW&B cancel your room we would either refund you in full or offer a new date for your visit.

2. Room Booking

Full payment is taken at the time of booking and no refunds are given.
3. Re-Booking Rooms & Applicable Fees

Once a room booking is made you can move your booking to a future date free of charge providing we have 3 or more days notice [10am]. If you move a booking with less than 3 days notice then you will forfeit 50% of the room rate. If your new date has a higher room rate then you will need to pay the difference. If you move your room into a sale price room rate you will not be refunded the difference.

4. Discounted/Sale Rates

If you book a room in a sale date period which has been discounted and you choose to move your date into a non-discounted rate period you will need to pay the difference. 

5. Same-day Cancellation / No Shows

In the event that you do not arrive [and with no contact being attempted to be made by the customer] or same-day cancellation then you will forfeit 100% of the room rate.

Tour & Tasting Vouchers and B&B Vouchers Terms & Conditions

Vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash or other denominated vouchers. If an intended purchase is for a higher amount than the face value of the voucher(s), the difference can be made up with cash. If a purchase is for a lower amount, NO change can be given.

Vouchers cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or damaged.

Each voucher will have it's own unique expiry date and you need to attend one of our tour & tastings BEFORE the voucher expires, if you do choose not to come before the expiry date of your voucher a £15 extension fee will be applied. We allow an extension of up to 6 months.

Online & Cellar Shop Terms & Conditions

This legal notice applies to all purchases made by you through the website under the domain name CHILTERNVALLEY.CO.UK (the “website”). By offering to purchase products through the website you are entering into an agreement with Chiltern Valley at Old Luxters Vineyard, Winery & Brewery, on the terms and conditions set out below.

1. Purchase of products from Chiltern Valley, On-line

The descriptions on the website/in the cellar shop, of the products supplied by Chiltern Valley are necessarily subjective but are intended to give a general description of the products to the best of our knowledge. No such description can ever replace the information gained during a tasting at our cellar shop to which you are welcome 7 days a week.
Chiltern Valley warrants that it has the right to supply all products offered by it on the website.
When the stock of any particular vintage runs out, Chiltern Valley reserve the right to substitute another vintage of the same wine.
In all other respects and to the maximum extent permissible, Chiltern Valley make no other warranties or promises about the products, and any implied warranties are excluded.

1 a) Availability, prices and information on products

All products are offered for sale by Chiltern Valley subject to availability. The price of the products shall be the price listed in UK pounds sterling on the website on the date of your order (inclusive of VAT & Excise Duty, but exclusive of delivery charges which are payable by you). All prices displayed on the website are and must be paid in full, including delivery charges, except where discounts are offered as detailed on the website. Promotional codes and/or discount offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

1 b) Ordering

By placing an order which includes alcohol you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
When you click on the “Finish Button” on the “Checkout” page Chiltern Valley will treat the order as an offer by you to purchase the products subject to these terms and conditions of sale. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your order and any specific delivery instructions (e.g. “behind the garage – with the neighbour or – in the garden shed etc.”) and if Chiltern Valley accepts your offer they shall supply you, subject to availability, with the quantity and specification of products set out in your order.
If Chiltern Valley accepts your offer they shall confirm each order online via the internet or by email and such confirmation shall be Chiltern Valley's acceptance of the contract between the parties.

1 c) Delivery & retention of title

All products will be delivered to the address that you indicate on the “Checkout” page and so far as possible in compliance with any specific delivery instructions, referred to above.

  • Our FREE Click & Collect service is available on any sized orders and orders must be collected from our cellar shop any day 7 days a week from 10am - 5pm. You must bring proof of ID and your invoice to collect your goods.

Whilst the risk of damage to or loss of the products shall pass to you the purchaser upon leaving the premises of Chiltern Valley, title in the goods shall not pass until the whole purchase price including the cost of transport, has been paid in full.
Any times quoted for delivery are approximate only and time shall not be of the essence. Chiltern Valley shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of the products howsoever caused.
Chiltern Valley shall confirm each order in writing by sending you a printout of the order along with your products.

When the goods are delivered to recipient via a third party any loss or non delivery must be reported to Chiltern Valley Winery within  7 working days after dispatch in an attempt for this to be resolved. Chiltern Valley cannot be held liable for mis delivered goods via third parties.

1d) Returns

If any of our products fall below the high standards you expect please return them within 28 days and we will refund or exchange the item. Please have your invoice with you to do this. If you change your mind within 28 days, we are happy to refund or exchange the product provided it is returned, as sold, with all the original packaging, tags, labels and accessories. Please have your order confirmation email with you to do this.  We will not refund the costs of return postage to us unless the products are faulty.

You may not cancel your order if:-

  • (a) It is for products that are personalised, e.g. bearing specially personalised labels.
  • (b) Products that cannot be returned or are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.

2. Personal data

When you make a purchase from this website, the personal information collected enables us to process and deliver your order. By registering your details on our website, you consent to the recording, holding and using the personal data we collect about you. Nothing contained in this clause or elsewhere allows us to retain credit card details which we do not retain. We are committed to the Data protection legislation and completely dedicated to the privacy of our customers information.

3. Limitation of liability

Chiltern Valley's liability to you is limited to the price of the products purchased and the delivery cost involved and in particular is not liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss (including without limitation financial loss such as loss of profit, or otherwise) that you may incur as a consequence of its failure to comply with these terms and conditions of sale.

4. Changes to the terms and conditions of sale

Our terms and conditions of sale may be changed. Please review them regularly. If you continue to use the website after a change has been made you are deemed to have accepted it.

5. Law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions of sale shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in relation to the website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If any of these terms or conditions of sale should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted and the remaining terms and conditions shall survive and continue to be binding and enforceable.
